PENTHOUSE Cafe Chisinau - Review #24

[EN] It's been awhile since I am planning to visit this restaurant. I had so many friends recommending it to me. So here I go, meeting my best friends at Penthouse Chisinau. First impression was good, beautiful terrace, very cozy, nice design, decor, furniture chosen with taste.

Everything was perfect until I realized that the terrace is almost full and we forgot to book a table in advance. Here you go, I see the hostess looking at me asking if we booked or not? I checked with my friend over the phone and unfortunately she didn't book, too.

The hostess was not welcoming at all, quiet the opposite, and here I notice some people are about to leave. I asked the hostess "Can we sit at nearby table until the table is getting set for us?", she said "No it's booked!". What a freak?!

Going further our server Pavel, was the pearl of this service team, extremely positive, charismatic guy, with sense of humor. However when I asked for a glass of #wine to be served at the table, he told me that the wine in this #restaurant is served from the bar!

Seriously? :)))

Then I insisted to bring the bottle to the table and serve it in front of me. Pavel not only brought the bottle to the table, he also brought the "measure cup" to ensure he will serve exactly 100 ml of wine and to me that was a bit arrogantly, I would say. We all laugh ironically, we had good time over all, but in the same very moment I promise myself not to tip this guys, despite Pavel's positive attitude, delicious Chef's salmon tartare, perfectly mixed DJ - music, pleasant ambience, etc, etc.
